OUR STORY

“You have to work twice as hard to get half as much.” An age old mantra consistently taught in households across the Diaspora, in Black households for sure.

Founder, Daphne Davalie, took that quite literally for all of her life. Throughout a 20 year corporate career she consistently sacrificed her well being in the name of success. At the tender age of 33, she was diagnosed with stress induced Shingles. At other points in her career, her immune system would continue to suffer as she experienced the proverbial cornerstones of corporate life: grueling hours, all-nighters, endless meetings, and challenging bosses. What’s worse? She started to hear the same stories from several others in her inner circle.

Zansette Home is where the Diaspora goes to rest.

Known throughout her family for a love of pillows, Daphne started Zansette Home as an answer to friends, family, and brothers and sisters across the Diaspora living the same life based on that same well intended advice. Each piece is designed to remind the Diaspora to prioritize self care and wellness as they pursue their goals and dreams.

Our goal is to become a cherished destination for rest, relaxation, and cultural connection.
